There isn't any natural way to stop periods, its just a part of life. Birth control might help, but it might not. Ask your doctor.

The pill is the only thing that can stop it. It has to be the pill that has equal amounts of progesterone and estrogen. so all the pills will be the same color - like alesse. if you are on it or antoher pill, instead of taking the sugar pills where your period would be, jsut start taking the next package right away.

Birth control is, as far as I know, the only thing that will effect your period like that, but if I understand correctly from my own research, it doesn't really make it lighter, shorter, or skip months until you've been taking it for several months.
But I'm not totally for sure if all of the above is exactly factual, so you may want to research those options yourself, rather than taking solely my word for it.

As for just making it skip a month? No. Ain't happening. It's one of those things your body does that is out of your control.
