ugh! so my parents like found out that my school is
doing a "fundraiser" for poor kids & to donate like
random crap like school supplies. well they filled up a
whole fricken bag of CRAP and they expect me to
carry it to school and SORT EVERYTHING OUT
before homeroom (when i only have like 5 minutes to
unpack ANYWAY) to "help the poor." um. well i dont
want to do it. and i have no idea what to do. DO NOT
bother suggesting, "well you'll help the poor." i already
tried telling them that it's too much shit that i have to
fricken carry & they are like ohh whatever. and i'm not
happy. cause i don't wanna be like the only fricken
person standing there, SORTING OUT by supply like
rulers, colored pencils, etc a WHOLE barnes &
noble back of CRAP.
dont suggest
'forgetting' the bag either. my parents will 'remind'
me before i leave
Sounds to me you just dont want to stand out by having a bunch of things, but you shouldn't worry. People might actually think its cool that if one person can bring a bunch of stuff then they'll see it as approval to do the same :) [ carayotie's advice column | Ask carayotie A Question ]

Sort them out at home. Carry each pile in a different bag and dump them out in such a way. I'm sure you have a lot of unused bags. Or divide the stuff among your friends and have each of them take a certain amount so you're not overwhelmed with everything.
I think you're overreacting. I know that you don't want to hear ths but you're helping out the poor. The least you can do is spend a little time sorting things out. Plus, you don't have to sort them out right at school. Sort out the items at home and carry one sort each day. So that when you get to school, you can dump one type of things and just go...return the next day and dump off another type and go, etc.
