Only thing you got to watch out for is the format you save in. Openoffice Impress (the powerpoint clone) will save by default in its own format. Right when you start your work remember to go to "save as" and select powerpoint format (.ppt) from the list, and save your work. Its important to do this right at the beginning, so that you dont end up using formating features that are not available in powerpoint.
