I'm 13/f...Well, my best friend is a guy. Lets call him...Colby. What happened was, Colby has been a dating machine..hes irresistable to girls. Whenever he goes out with one, im left out. He completely ignores me, he doesnt call me ever, or comes over my hous anymore. This only happens when he has a gf. So i had the nerve to go up and tell him how i felt about it. He said that he promises that it ill never happen again and we will be like we used to ( this happened after he broke up with his old gf) So, colby goes out with this other girl lets call her..Dylan. He always talks about how they make out and all that so of course ill be nice ( no im not jealous and i dont like like him) and say wow thats cool. So he knows who i like and i talk to him aobut the guy i like and his response ould be nmothing..!! he just gets up and leaves..it makes me feel awful..but i love him so much like a friend!! and i dont wanna lose him but he makes me feel im not important and i dont belong in his life... SORRY ITS SOO LONG!!

Anyways, he might not like hearing about you & another guy. He could be getting mad, jealous or feeling awkward about it, so that's why he leaves.

Guys are protective of their girls, wether their dating or just friends. When he hears about you and another guy, he might get mad, or jealous or just weirded out. He could realize that he likes you once another guy comes into the picture. He could realize he just doesnt like the idea of you dating a guy, as it can be weird for people who are used to being best friends talking about situations other than that, or anything really. Just ask him! Ask him whats up, and tell him you want his support and care about his opinion. Friendships like any relationships need effort and work, so put some in and make sure he does.
