Type Correctly.

Question Posted Saturday April 7 2007, 3:02 pm

Can anyone link me to a sight that will teach me to type in a professional way? As in: where should my fingers be placed because right now, I type with mainly my pointers and it can be humiliating if I want a job within an office at some point. Thank you!

Basically, your left fingers should be over the a, s, d, and f and your right fingers should be over the j, k, l, and ; keys. In other words, g and h should be in between your pointer fingers.

Your wrists should be poised but relaxed and you should sit up straight. It takes practice...typing classes help a lot. I used to not be able to type barely, but now I'm at about 90 words a minute due to sheer practice.

You'll get better as you go along. Good luck!
