also i want to pierce my ears. i already have both ears pierced but i want a second piercing like right above. can i do this myelf with a needle or will that cause an infection? haah my first piercings hurt rite now cuz i shoved a 12 gage into them yesterday. im gonna stretch em out till maybe an 8 gage. so yea. thanx peeps. you rock. ;]
You could go to Sally's. They have some good dyes there. Look for Special Effects or something. Get a shampoo for colored hair. Don't wash your hair everyday though. The color should only last 2 weeks to 4 weeks... depending on how light your hair is. If you bleached your hair and put the color in, it should last longer.
It's not really wise to pierce things yourself. Maybe go out and get it done. I pierced my ear myself and it looked fine for 2 weeks. I cleaned it everyday and then it got a infection. Somehow I got this horrible tissue scar.. but I got it repierced by a professional, so it's all good.

I already had a first hole, and did 6 more [3 in each ear] myself all in one day. I used a piercing earring, a ton of ice, and an earring. A piercing earring has a sharpened back instead of a normal one. So you'll be able to tell it from a normal one because it won't look the same.
When you pierce yourself, there's always a chance of infection, but if you take the time to numb it, and make sure the needle [or piercing earring] you're using is clean, then you should be fine. Just make sure you clean it everyday, and you should be fine. =) [ christina's advice column | Ask christina A Question ]

You may want to look at any beauty wholesaler - or buy online. I've also heard that if you use semi-permanent and mix it with a bit of conditioner it'll stay in longer.
As for piercing your own ears - as long as you're careful, you clean the needle, and you don't force earrings in before the hole is ready AND YOU CLEAN IT A LOT, you should be fine.
I pierced my own ears the second time. (I've also done my lip and taken it out - kanka is a life saver! Never ever pierce your lip by yourself). The one on the left is way off from the lobe piercing - almost too close to the edge. Try to avoid this by having someone help you/marking the area with a pen.
DearAbby92 answered Friday April 6 2007, 11:46 pm: You might have gotten a temporary color at hot topic, or even washable, so you want permanent. make sure it says that on the box. and the darker your hair is the harder it is for color to kind of set in, so that might have been why as well. So make sure its "permanent"!
Piercing your ears by yourself is a pretty easy way to get an infection. Go the safe way, and invest in a professional. I've heard some really bad and painful stories from people who pierced their own ears (like not getting the center of ur ear, or one girl i know hole just ripped all the way down her)
