skinny or fat? im 13 and im about 98 to like 100 pounds, and im 5'2.. everyone is saying that im really skinny, almost too skinny, but i look great, and guys always compliment me on how great i look, and they all say im not too skinny or too fat. I need to know if im too skinny, because i like the way i look. its mostly muscle, becasue im on an intense track team, and i think its a problem. My whole family seems to be like it, but i hate being the girl who is just about average height, but compared to other girls, not so average weight? what should i do, is there anything i CAN do???

According to your BMI (body mass index), you are technically underweight. At your height, you should be AT LEAST 105.
On the other hand, it's good that you run track and have a lot of muscle. That's healthy. What are your eating habits like?
Anorexia is a big problem and some girls don't even know they have it. It's like...unconscious restriction of food. If you see yourself just not eating for whatever reason, you should get professional help or talk to a parent about.
As long as you eat between 1200 to 2000 calories a day (probably more than 1200 if you're an athlete...you need the energy) and exercising on a regular basis (but not excessively), you should be fine.
Since you're only 13, puberty is just getting started. As you go through puberty, you'll fill out and once the awkward stage is over you'll get your shape and you can decide how you feel about it. In most cases, if you feel good about your body, you're good to go. ]
you are about the perfect weight for your height. and if you have alot of muscle then if usaly weighs more then fat does. and there is nothing wrong with being the average height. that why its average its just like most girls. ]
Youre not really average. But i`m 5`2 & i`m skinny also. I weigh only about 90-95. People tell me that I don`t look skinny though. If you think you look great, then don`t change for other people. Only change for yourself. & if guys like the way you look, then its a good thing :]

98 to 100 lbs does not seem like a lot, but you are only 5'2. If you are happy with your weight & feel that you eat enough & are healthy, then that's fine. You shouldn't lose any weight though. Gaining might be helpful for your athletic performances. Gaining more muscle might be a plus. As long as you eat right, it should be fine. Definately do not go lower than 98 lbs though. You can't do much if its in your family's background. Most people would consider you lucky. Just eat 3 healthy meals a day with 2 snacks inbetween & exercise a few times a week, which you probably do more of since you're on the track team.
