guinea pig bath

is it true that giving a guinea pig a bath is bad
for them? why? doesn't it clean them? like
even in shallow water in the bathtub? what if
they like to swim? you dont have to answer
all those questions but just give me some gen-
eral feedback. thanks! :]

I'm pretty sure it's not good for their fur, if you use regular shampoo.
If it's a special guinea pig shampoo, then they should be fine. Also, if they go swimming, make sure you keep them really dry and wrapped up afterwards! They can get sick really easily!
If you want to clean your guinea pig, I've heard you can sprinkle VERY SMALL amounts of baby powder on it's fur. =)
