SEARCH setting on ipod

Question Posted Friday April 6 2007, 2:48 am

both me and my brother have the exact same ipod, we even bought it the same day from the same place - here's the thing though, his has a search engine so he can easier find songs, and my doesnt! Now I have 4662 songs on my ipod, so its really hard to find the song im looking for - takes ATLEAST 30 minutes! Spo I was wondering, can you download the search engine onto you ripod somehow? Or is it a setting on iTunes you need to fix? Or what? Cause on the actualy ipod are settings are the same (or so i think)

Also he has this thing where if he "flips" really quickly letter well come up like in a gray box so you can find the letter you're looking for faster, mine doesn't have that EITHER!

please help me :( i spent a long time saving for this iPOd and it tunred out to be a total let down..

definitely update your iPod's software. you still might not have search, but I know you can get the quick-scroll option.

Try updating the software. It's a newer feature so yours may have never downloaded the search part.

hmm.. honestly i have no idea. but here's a tip-
why don't you go to the store where you bought your ipod and see if they can help. I had a problem with my ipod once and i went to the store and they fixed it.

Maybe it's a different generation as your brothers?
some generations don't have the same features as other generations.
