Waltz - 3/4 songs :]

Question Posted Thursday April 5 2007, 11:17 am

I'm 13, in 8th grade, and I was wondering if anyone knew any good 3/4 songs that I could use to waltz to. My friend Brian and I are going to choreograph a routine for our school talent show, and I was thinking of doing "Lover, you should've come over" by Jamie Cullum. They don't have to be popular, but alternitive, pop, or jazz waltzes are good. Sort of popular, but nothing like R&B or anything.

Just pretty much, not classical music, because then people will be less likely to like it (immature I know, but it's the truth). And if it helps, I will probably be wearing a long, strapless red dress and he'll be wearing a black suit.

Thanks very much! My friend & I appreciate your answers. :]

consider the tango roxanne. it's not in 3/4, but it's a very hot tango.

edit: I lied. I think it actually is 3/4. also, try checking musicals. The Waltz For Eva and Che from Evita is kind of fun (if you change costuming). So is the Thenardier Waltz from Les Miserables (again, costume change needed).

well i know that anything by Michael Buble is really great for a jazz type of dance. but they're usually 4/4 and not 3/4. personally i like the song "save the last dance for me" by him but its 4/4. i mean its a popular song but i'm not sure if its what you're looking for.
