As for the bored part, I can relate. I was my mother's worst nightmare as a child because I was constantly bored. Dont get me wrong, I enjoy doing all sorts of stuff, but if I dont keep myself constantly occupied (and I mean every second) the instant I stop I am bored again. I dont know if its exactly what you have, but I reckon its pretty close.
The only way I could ever get over it was to overload my senses. Even now, I am typing this message, while running Civilization in the background, watching TV, and cooking dinner (and I have only been home 20 minutes). Thats normal everyday life for me. That way, when the tv bores me I take a turn in Civ, in the meantime I think about what to say to you, etc etc. I dont give my mind time to get bored.
Sometimes I think people trivialise boredom. Usually its those people who dont understand what a burden it can be. Comments like "only boring people get bored" really miss the mark completely (in fact I think its often the other way around).
Anyway, you need to find your own solution somehow. In my case it led to abuse of all sorts of substances in my youth (ranging from food to smokes to stronger stuff). Needless to say none of that was a good solution and led to years of problems. So, get active, find the sort of things that keep you interested and pack your life full of them. Apart from my daily routine I also know I am never bored during certain activities (e.g. sports, certain social events etc). My life is as full of those sort of things as can be. I suggest you do the same.
Alternatively, if you really continue to be suicidal, I would recommend you get some help. Talking to a professional is never a bad idea when one has those kind of destructive thoughts.
Sabine answered Tuesday April 3 2007, 10:02 am: Have you ever heard the quote "The bored is more contemptable than the boring"? You are responsible for entertaining yourself. If you are bored, find something to do. Surely you have interests, whether they're scrapbooking or piercing or Sudoku. You just need to figure out how to keep yourself engaged. Take up writing, watch television, talk to a friend, take a walk, participate in sports, find a craft, find a book, go to a new place, try a new food, learn to cook, build a website, or shop for clothes. You don't have to be bored.

Okay, after reading your additional info and your comment on my rating, I'd say please go find or form a community theater group. You definitely have a flare for the dramatic. [ Sabine's advice column | Ask Sabine A Question ]
