Adult acne Can someone please tell me an inexpensive way to get rid of all these zits? I am 30 years old & I have pimples like crazy. I have spent countless hours & way too much money on all these face washes & creams that don't do anything. I am also allergic to benzoyl peroxide...the main ingredient in most acne products. Thanks.

Run to the nearest dermatologist. I know that suggesting a doctor may sound excessive or expensive... But it's not, and you'll actually save a lot of money and time in the long run. A dermatologist will be able to tell you what you should use on your skin and give you prescription medication which is more effective than anything that you can buy over the counter. Most of the time the products that they suggest are easy to find and actually very affordable. And you might want to request a generic drug if they write you a prescription... It's just as good as the name brand but a lot cheaper. ]
Since you're 30, this isn't just normal teenage pimples. You should definitely see a Dermatologist. A Dermatologist is a doctor specializing in skin. Perscription acne medication is not hard to get. You could get it for very mild acne if you really wanted to. Perscription acne creams actually work. I've been using them for a few years and I've had great results. One of my friends has taken pills for acne since she was young because she had it so bad and I never saw a blemish on her face ever after that. Don't be worried about the Dermatologist's appointment. When I went, the doctor asked me a few questions, looked at my face from across the room, wrote me a perscription, and I was out of there in 10 minutes. Make an appointment with a Dermatologist today! You won't regret it. Good luck. :) ]
benzoyl peroxide is in Pro activ so i wouldnt use that. uhm, you can always google natural ways to get rid of acne. I googled it before, and it worked but i stoped using it. Also, you can try natures cure. It has a pill and lotion. But in the lotion their might be benzoyl peroxide, so just take the pills. Another way is you can go to your doctor and ask for certain pills, and they should help clear em up!
Good luck ]
Don't know if benzoyl peroxide is in proactiv but if not try it, it works. Has to be ordered from their 800#. $20 for a 30 day supply. Also I've used stridex pads available at most drug stores. They worked for me. Also try using rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball. It dries up the pimple. ]
