I want to help her so bad!! It hurts that I cant.....or can

Question Posted Sunday April 1 2007, 8:27 pm

13/F
I care about my best friend more than anyone else. This will probally be long but please read. My best friend is in a lot of pain right now. She misses her boyfriend deeply (who she dumped) and cries about him alot. Its hard for her to face him. She always tells me how she loves him and how she misses him. They have been apart for over a month now. He wont take her back anymore. He likes one of our best friends which is also upsetting her. She is having problems with her leg as well. I try to encourage her and make her feel better and be there for her but its not working. I learned she cries every night and she told me she hated herself. She has guys over her sooo much at school but she never pays any attention to them. Shes very depressed. I want to help her but I dont know how. Any advice?

The best you can do is be a best friend. Be there for her when she's down. try to get her mind off her ex. always have something fun to do when you make plans with her. let her pour her heart out to you. it'll get her feelings off her chest once she lets it out. look back on fun times you've had with her. make her laugh. eventually she will feel better, but it'll definitely take time. just be her friend that she can always count on. you're probably a great friend since you want to help her so much. good luck

all i can say is just to be there for her.
call her before she goes to bed to cheer her up.
leave notes/candy in her locker.
slip pictures [of you and her] into her binders and text books where she'll find them.
prove to her that you are better than her ex. =]]

friends will always be there for you when guys wont. prove that to her.

good luck.
