I had this same thing for a while while i was in high school and was too shy to go to the doctor. it is nothing serious. it went away after a while, but DEFINATELY go see a doc and they will definately help you. its worth it and you will be so much more comfortable.
do not use soap down there, dont use bubble bath, dont use powder or perfume. wear cotton undies and pants that arent really tight.
StarryNightSkies answered Sunday April 1 2007, 9:51 pm: the first two people to post say put baby powder in your underwear.
DON'T DO THIS.
it is known to cause cervical cancer (i learned this in my living skills class).
what you can do is buy scented panty liners that gets rid of the smell and protects your undies from getting nasty. [ StarryNightSkies's advice column | Ask StarryNightSkies A Question ]
solidadvice4teens answered Sunday April 1 2007, 8:27 pm: There is normal discharge that all girls have and abnormal discharge that could mean you have an infection or an STD if sexually active.
If something stinks pretty bad and the color of the discharge is a nasty color (like a weird green) and is accompanied by burning and itching you have a problem you need a gynaecologst to solve.
The best thing to do is read this article on healthy versus unhealthy vaginal discharge and then approach your mother in confidence about it. As embarassing as that seems it really isn't because she is a woman two and has had to deal with it all before.
I hope that helps you. Also, the idea from another poster about baby powder may mask odor but not help you at all with an infection and abnormal discharge. Get it checked if the article isn't helping you determine what it is. [ solidadvice4teens's advice column | Ask solidadvice4teens A Question ]

exohhmelissa answered Sunday April 1 2007, 8:17 pm: Make sure you wash it well in the shower and put baby powder in your underwear.
I think you should have it checked out though, especially, because there is a smell. That is not a good sign.
