is there a way to call someone and just get their voicebail and it wont ring, so they dont know someones calling?

Yep!
Call your own voicemail, [ if you have a cell phone, otherwise, this would be pretty hard to do! ]

If you go to the options it should guide you from there!

i dont know about all services, but with cingular, if you call your voicemail, and then go to the main menu, theres an option to send voicemail.
