New Haircut

So, I'm getting a haircut on Friday. I really want something new and different, but not TOO different, know what I mean? I want to look good, not weird. This is what my hair is now: dirty blonde( I hate saying my hair is 'dirty' but that's really the best way to describe it) usually straightened, about 3 inches past my shoulders, with chinlength pieces framing my face, as in bangs from fifth grade that never totally grew out. Totally boring, right? So, basically, I want you guys to give me some new, exciting styles that aren't too weird. Oh, and no extensions, my mom would never let me. As for length, I want it shoulder-length or longer, because I like good ponytails. Oh, one more thing that might help: I have an oval-shaped face. If you can find pictures of the style you describe, that would be great, but words work too. Thanks in advance!

hey!
i would go for a side parting with side bangs and layers. it can be any length, you choose. with the layers, they can be drastic or subtle, so, you can have lots of layers starting at the top of your ears down to the length, or a few longer layers. with the bangs, they can either be fuller and halfway across your brow getting longer towards the side of your head, or much thinner and a bit longer, cut at a clear angle.
it is completely up to you. i have an oval face too. i used to have long hair with long side bangs, then i got it cut to just past my shoulders with shorter bangs, and now it is even shorter with side bangs just past my eye. i have always had very short layers and even though its a while since i cut my hair and it has grown a lot my top layer is still only at the top of my ear.

i think i have the perfect thing for u! ANGLE hair cut or a big SHAG cut! or a bug Layer job, but if u want a really curly hair, just have him layer and layer!

hey, why not go for a perm. those are always fun and flirty. also get some blonde highlights, to make your hair blonder. as for your little long pieced bangs, those have to go. since they wont grow out, cut them into side bangs.
