Simple vanity is no reason for seeking possibly harmful medical treatment against the wishes of your doctor. If they didn't think you were short enough for it, it means you're not.
If you're past the age of 20 or so, you've likely stopped growing, and there's nothing you can do to get any taller. If you're still a teenager, just eat healthy, avoid caffeine, and make sure you drink lots of milk to keep your bones healthy.
