Nail Salons

Question Posted Wednesday March 28 2007, 11:51 pm

I've never really had my nails done. I'm wanting to get gel nails on my hands and just a regular pedicure.
Do most places require appointments?

Also, if anyone has had gel nails, please give me an opinion on them (are they durable, do they look good, etc.).

Gel nails are different from acylic nails. They are VERY durable and they are much prettier. If the nail salon is good, then your nails will be nice and shiny for 2 weeks. It costs more, but it's definitely worth it.

P.S-They do look more natural.

By gel, you mean acryllic nails? I've had them, and I love them. They're gorgeous, and they last a really long time if you take care of them.

No. Some places do, but most places take walk-ins too.
