i don't see how tampons work for swimming.. wouldn't it absorb all of the water? then turn it into reddish-bloodish-water and it get all in the water? or the tampon would get so full that it could absorb anymore blood? i don't get it.. please explain.

The muscles and skin are arranged around that part of your body so that it's impossible for water and excess moisture to find it's way in there.
