Most of the time if a guy likes you, he makes attempts to hang out with you. He'll just act normally around you but he'll try to do it often. He may not be outwardly flirtatious, because normally, the girl is supposed to be.
If you flirt with him and he responds then you've got him. Its all a balance thing. If it gets uncomfortable, then just tell him that that's not how you meant whatever you said or just walk away and call him. normally it's easier to talk to someone freely if you can't see them, so the phone works.
But if he tries to be around you alot, then thats the key sign.
