this is kind of urgent. ok so my best guy friend just got dumped by his girlfriend that he had for 7months. he really loved her and is really depressed about it. i hate to see him that way because i care about him, alot. in fact i love him. i've been secretly in love with him for about a year now. i told him that i used to like him but not that i still do. ok so anyway he's been really depressed and he's not sure if him and his girlfriend are going to get back together. if they do i'll be really happy for him because i hate to see him miserable like he is now. but i want to tell him that i like him. so what should i do? tell him or let them get back together and just be a good friend and stay out of the way?

He's been hurt by this girl once, he'll only be hurt again!
Sit him down and give him all the advice you can, just be there for him. Don't move in on him to fast as he's in the 'depression mode' and wants her back.
Make him understand that you are there for him and always will be and will support his desicion 100% then when the time is right make it special and tell him how you feel.
Tell him that you have always had feelings for him and never said anything to him before because he means so much to you and you only wanted to see him happy.
Then you could tell him that it may be worth giving it a shot with the two of you.. who knows he may have always like you too.
Just don't be afraid to tell him how you feel, if you don't say anything he'll never know and you will regret it!
This is your time now but at the same time don't push him into another full on relationship. Kind of tell him how you feel then let him come to you!
