I'm a lacrosse player (womens) and I was wondering if there are any "experienced" players here who could give me tips on how to get a more powerful shot. thanks in advance
Positioning: shoulders perpendicular to goal, feet parallel to front of goal. If you are right-handed put your left foot closer to goal, for lefties put the right foot closer to the goal.
Put your bottom hand on the bottom of the stick, and your free hand a bit above the bottom hand. Put your arms away from your body. This will help you with power.
You want to shift your weight from back foot to front foot to transfer weight. This will also help you get an accurate, powerful shot.
Aiming: aim for any of the four corners, so that it's harder for the goalie. Or aim for the space in front of the goalie so that the ball bounces up and out of the goalie's reach.

If your arms are stronger then you will have a more powerful shot! :)
