That's so sweet, it makes me really happy to know that I'm helping you with my advice! :)
It's funny, because I have been having the same problem lately. But I've finally figured out how to master the teachers, and get to where they think of you as an excellent student, and an all-around good person. So here's my secret:
1. Always say things like, "Good morning or afternoon, (Mr. or Mrs. [insert last name here]) when first getting to class. If you have enough time, ask them how they are doing today.
2. Pay very good attention in class, and be a productive student in the class room -- raise hand, answer questions asked rather than waiting for someone else to answer them and take your glory. ;)
3. Get good grades. Teachers like students that have good grades, and know that they really care about their grades. It also shows your smart, so you're not doing this only for your teacher. ]
