AKSherma answered Saturday March 24 2007, 3:18 pm: VIagra is the tradename for Sildenafil Citrate- which is a cGMP specific phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor, which allows a male (and theoretically females) to achieve erections (yes- females do have erections- but not the type you think). Funny thing, is that when they first were testing this drug- it was initially being tested as a heart drug to help arteries in the heart become bigger- but then they noticed a weird (and very profitable) side effect.
