whats the difference between Kurt Cobain and Nirvana?

is he in the group? is HE Nirvana?

EDIT: Your rating is rude and unneccessary. I answered your question. If you had typed "Kurt Cobain and Nirvana" into any search engine it would have given you the same answer.

Kurt Cobain was the lead singer of Nirvana and wrote most of their songs.

Next time, please just google it.

Kurt Cobain was the singer for Nirvana. I guess in a way he WAS Nirvana, since they haven't done anything
since Cobain's death in 1994.
