Psychiatry. I want to go to college to become a psychiatrist. I just don't know where I want to go! I either want to go to school in Texas or maybe Illinois. What colleges would be good for what I want to do?

I want to congratulate you on your choice of profession. Sabine is correct- the difference between a psychiatrist and a psychologist is that a psychiatrist is an M.D.- while most psychologists are PhDs.
I went to Northwestern University and majored in Psychology, which was a great program, and I really enjoyed the program there. I would think about what you want to do in the psychological field. While being a psychiatrist is being great- you get to prescribe drugs and such, you spend a lot of time with drug managment and may not get as much patient management as a psychologist would, but psychiatrists do get paid more.
Either way- Texas or Illinois- you just have to have passion for what you want and it matters more what graduate school you go into more than an undergraduate school.
Best luck,

Well, my dad and mom went to UT ( you know the LONGHORNS!!!! OH YAH, sry) and well i just asked them and they said it has a great physciatry program!! Or TCU Texas Christian University (bull frogs) they also do to (my Opa went ther [opa is grampa in german]) As you can see i am a big time Texas fan!!!!! ]
A psychiatrist, unlike a psychologist, is a medical doctor. You have to get your undergrad degree first, then go to Medical School. Good colleges are University of Texas (which has a medical school in Houston), Baylor University in Houston, and University of Chicago in Illinois (I think). Do searches for college ranking on Google. Go to the American Psychological Association's website. You can find these answers easily.
