okayy well this is all over internet
like these people i don't know in real life but anyway
i made this best friend over internet named sally,
we have been besties for EVER. well ever since august of last year. anyway
she has made an enemy her name is adriana
welll
adriana is my friend and one day sally told me not to talk to her
i said okay
well i've been secretly talking to adriana
and sally figures out
now she is all like i hate you
we are not friends and blah blah blah.
i was very sad yesterday but today i realized
its over internet
why am i taking this so seriously.
but i am still sad because i dont have sally
she told me to wait till thursday and she will know by then if she wants to be my friend or not.
pretty stupid i know.
i told her that i should be able to choose my own friends.
she totally ignored my message.
and on AIM she ignored me to but only made stupid smiley faces ever now and then while i just spilled all my feeling to her.
i really don't know what i'd do if sally tells me on thursday she doesnt want to be my friend
and i know you guys are gonna say
she isnt your friend if she treats you like that
but i can't just stop liking someone i've liked and known for a while now.

I agree. You should trust friends you have in person first. The people on the internet can't always be trusted. Someone could say they're a fifteen year old girl and they could turn out to be alot older than that and someone dangerous to be talking to. So, anyways, as with any friend, you should never side with someone on a fight that you were not involved in. You don't need that kind of drama. If Sally decides that she doesn't want to be friends with you, you don't need her. Well, Hope I helped. Let me know if you need more advice! ♥ Kathleen. put your REAL friends first. the ones you actually talk to face-to-face.
bittyleigh answered Wednesday March 21 2007, 4:28 pm: Well...i'm not going to say that she isn't your friend, but if you and her have been close for a while, she may feel a little betrayed that you continue to talk to Adriana. But I'm also not going to tell you that you shouldn't be friends with either Sally or Adriana. You chose them to be your close friends for a reason and Sally should know that. maybe you should tell Sally that even though she doesn't like Adriana, she is still a good friend to you. Say, "i'm sorry that you don't really like her but I do, and I don't want to lose another friend. But that doesn't mean that I don't appreciate our friendship."
She will probably think about it and realize that she wasn't very smart about it and that she doesn't want to lose your friendship.
But whatever you do, be careful with making friends with people on the internet without ever actually seeing or talking to them. Most people don't realize how clever predators can be with making themselves appear to be your age. (but i'm sure you've heard that plenty of times before!)
good luck! [ bittyleigh's advice column | Ask bittyleigh A Question ]
