heyyyy everyone!! well, i'm 14/f, and i have long brown hair. i always have it down because of 3 reasons. 1 reason is i don't know of any good ways to make my hair look cute. 2nd reason is because i seem to never have time in the mornings, but i'm sure i can make time. and the 3rd reason is because i don't want the same ones as the girls at school have. and also, i don't want the hair styles to be to time consuming. i want ones that take 5-10 min, but can still be cute. i would eaither like to know of some from your personal hair styles, or websites would be great! thank ya all!!! <3 luv luv <3
It’s not even 8:30 in the morning and things couldn’t be much worse. You slept through your alarm and you’ve got a major business presentation in 35 minutes. After taking the fastest shower of your life, you’ve got five minutes to throw on your makeup and do something with your wet hair. Think fast!
Remembering back to your childhood days, think about what your mother used to do for you when you needed to look nice for school. Be it picture day or another special occasion, chances are you’ve got a special hair trick up your sleeve that you’ve completely forgotten! Mine happens to be your plain old run of the mill braid. Separate your hair into three sections, alternately pulling one over the other until you’ve created an attractive plait in no time! For a special feminine touch, leave out a tiny strand of hair at your crown, near your ear or at the nape of your neck. (To save time, turn your curling iron on prior to braiding your hair.) Create a loose curl here or there to add an elegant element to your professional-looking style.
Scenario #2 – Last-Minute Lovely Locks
Whether it’s a first date with a new hottie or a special occasion with your long-term beau, looking like the gorgeous bombshell you are is nonnegotiable! But looking fabulous doesn’t have to take an eternity… Rely on a few quick and easy hair care tips to get you going.
For a seductive look, rely on a daring hairstyle that nicely displays a bare neck. Invite sweet kisses on your soft skin by sweeping your hair up into a makeshift French twist with a set of ornate chopsticks or a delicate, pretty hairpin. Even if your hair is still wet, it should be responsive to these facile styles. And while wearing hair up can be completely tantalizing, setting free your flowing locks might just ignite some wild desire in your date. Tame your tresses with a gentle anti-frizz product that won’t sticky your hair or leave a visible residue.
For naturally curly babes, rub some gel or a small amount of styling product between your hands and scrunch your curls into submission.
Sick of the same old ponytail? Tired of – yawn – everlasting straight hair? Mix things up a bit by adding some fancy accents to your inventory! Invest in some colorful hair scarves, headbands, crab claw clips, hairpins, chopsticks and other fun hair accessories. You can get a nice selection of hair goodies at the dollar store, grocery store, drugstore and countless other venues.
By spending only $10 or $15, you can completely revamp your hair without going to any great coloring or styling lengths. Pick out a few neat items and use them from time to time instead of battling your hair into submission with styling products and appliances. Don’t have time to blow dry your mane? Fret not! Merely twist your hair up and clip it to your head with one of your new fashion accessories! When all else fails, get comfy. Throw on a pair of jeans, your favorite hooded sweatshirt and a hat!"
For the least maintenance possible, you can always toss your tresses back into a ponytail with an elastic band, a rubber band, a scrunchie or other hair ties. Just as quickly and just as easily, you can also introduce a new look with a headband ! Once you brush your hair straight or work with your curls, you can gently slide a headband on for a new look. Very convenient and easy to use, any woman can benefit from a headband, no matter how short or long her hair might be.
Another quick fix works especially well when you don’t have the time to dry your hair. A decorative hairpin that is about three or four inches in length will work wonders for your hair. First squeeze any remaining water from your hair with a towel. Next, brush your hair flat against your head and pull it toward the nape of your neck, almost as if you’re trying to create a low ponytail. Now twist your hair tightly in the same direction and twirl it around into a mock bun. Finally, take the hairpin and stick it through your hair, making sure the style feels strong and securely fastened. While there seem to be a lot of instructions for this style, it truly only takes about 10 to 30 seconds to produce, depending on how well you like your first and second attempts. You can also replicate this style with a set of decorative chopsticks for hair.
Five minutes…
If you’re planning a special night out – a date, a formal event or a girls’ night to a club or bar – you’ll probably care more about your hair than if you’re just going to the supermarket, the library or running some other errands. For a beautiful yet simple style, first twist your hair atop your head and secure it there with a claw clip . Using a curling iron , create gentle spiral curls with the lengths of hair that stick out from the clip. You might want to spray a little gel or hairspray to keep the style before letting your hair down. Once you have added a nice display of curls, remove the clip and let your hair fall as it may. You’ll have pretty waves and gentle curls dusting your shoulders and your back in no time!
If you know how to braid hair, you merely need to add your own creativity to produce a beautiful and unique hairstyle. For a retro look, part your hair directly down the center. If your hair is long enough in the front, make three “microbraids” on each side of your head, starting at your hairline, just outside the part. Once you’ve created the braids, pull them toward the back of your head and fasten them together with a small elastic band or a tiny barrette. If your hair is not long enough for this style, consider braiding two pigtails down either side of your head for a youthful look.
If you see some accessories at the store that appeal to you, consider picking out a few to try at home. Hair scarves, claw clips, headbands, elastic bands, standard clip barrettes and hairpins are fairly easy to use and they look beautiful in a number of styles. Don’t be discouraged if you aren’t completely familiar with certain hair accessories or styles. The biggest part of designing a beautiful hairstyle is listening to your creative intuitions!

I just got it cut and i absolutly love it.
I would do a side part either side doesn't matter, and then get the side bangs and just a lot of layers.. that way it can just fall around your face.. and give it volume and like a fun look but still very simple.
Try searching for like you're favorite celeb. hairstyles online and see if you can find somewhat of what you would like and bring it in when you get it cut
lauralaura answered Wednesday March 21 2007, 3:02 pm: i have thick brown hair and i recently cut it to shoulder length but it used to be quite long. i have layers and a side parted fringe (bangs) but i'm not sure about you so this may not work. here is a link to me with my hair up how it used to be: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) - this style is simply tying it up then twisting quickly into a scruffy bun at the back. this is how it is now down: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) i am on the left.
now what i do is i gather it at the back and leave my fringe out, then dont neaten it, i just leave it messy but all tied up so some strands are pulled tight and others aren't so they stick up, and you can alter it slightly with kirby grips. then either leave in a ponytail or pull into a scruffy bun. to get a messed up ponytail you could run a small amount of styling wax through the ends to add texture.
finally you can get clips from high street stores and chemists which you use by twisting your hair at the back, then you slide the clip through at an angle and let it grip. secure any loose ends with kirby, but if your hair is thick and long you may not find one which will hold all your hair. they come in many styles and colours but here is a picture: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
alternatively, just simply pin you hair back a little at one side with a pretty slide for example: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
