Question Posted Monday March 19 2007, 11:45 pm

alright i just made a new picture for myspace and it relates to this video i saw.

now i want to put a video in my picure caption space, but seeing as the links to video URLS are so long, it's not really possible. i'm just asking to anybody out there, is there any sites that you know of that shorten VIDEO urls or anything so it'd fit in the caption space?

i know there's regular URL shortening sites, but those are for pictures and things, not videos.

www.tinyurl.com always works.
You can also try this: <a href="URL">link text</a>
Where it says URL, put the URL of the video but don't take off the quotation marks [""]

You have to use an HTML tag to do it. I'm pretty sure HTML works okay in myspace captions, so you shouldn't have any problems. Here's the tag:

<A HREF="PLACE THE URL HERE">put what you want the link to say here</A>

I don't know of any sites that do it, but I find it easier to just type the tag myself.

You can use the standard tinyurl.com sites for video. It will still work. Or you can use an HTML link, like this:
<a href="URL">link text</a>
the "link text" part will be the text you click, it will lead to the URL in href="URL". I'm pretty sure that works on myspace.
