i cant control myself. (food)

Question Posted Monday March 19 2007, 1:37 am

like stuff we're not allowed to eat.. like i end up eating the whole thing. like ever since i was little.. like we cant eat candy.. id take 1 and soon the whole thing will be gone. the same thing happened with gum my mom got in a big pack, and now she bought honey and i've basically just licked almost half of the bottle. and before i ate some sweet tasting like milk mix with lots of sugar.. and today she was looking for it and i had to lie.. ugh i dont know whats happening to me. its so annoying becase if i dont improve on my behavior and blah, then my mom wont sign me up for spring soccer!

tomorrow im scared.. cuz my mom's comming home and she'll probably yell at me for licking the honey.. and i'll be more steps away from being able to join soccer.. and registration is due in a little less than a month!!! i dont know why.. like when its something bad, i feel like i cant stop eating it, especially if its sweet or tastes good. and i usually have meals before i sleep with is why my stomach probably hasnt been shrinking. ive noticed quite a difference with my weight.. ive gained some pounds and im like 10-20 pounds over average! well.. im 5'3 and a half, and weigh about 155 pounds (and that was the last time i checked.. at the doctors office because our scale at home doesnt work. i hope hose numbers have been decreasing.. though i doubt it.) anyways.. like these topics are closely linked. how can i stop this habit of excessively eating? like usually im not hungry when i eat stuff like that.. or sometimes i'll eat something healthy like an apple.. then like 2 apples just because they taste good. my parents cook pretty healthy foods but we also have a little bit of unhealthy stuff, so how do i deal with the fact that they are there? i mean its technically stealing even if its in the same house. i hate that.. like after trying some snack or whatever once, i think i'll just take one more, then that really increases..

hey, well since it`s only food that your not allowed to eat, tell your mom to tell you to eat whatever you want. that way you`ll only eat what you crave, not what your mind tells you too. you could also tell her to lock up the foods that are making you gain weight or the problem foods.

The best thing is to make yourself a bag with a certina amunt of the stuff you eat. If you eat five small measl a day you will convince your body you are eating more than you really are. If you eat and then exercise it off you won't have to worry about.

If you ride a bike for 20 minutes a day and continue to do that it will turn all that fat into muscle and flatten your stomach. If you use pills or diet programs they won't work becasue the moment you eat something your weight will be up again.

Controlling the amount you eat is the first thing you need to do. So get plastic baggies and put only i serving in each and that will control you from eating the whole thing. Just make sure you put them in baggies. If you are not sure about the sering they tell you how much one serving is. Riding a bike will keep you mind off of the food and it will help you lose weight fast.

I'm not really sure how to answer your question about you not being able to stop eating junk food. It was kinda like that for me in high school. Once I got to college however, I kind of discovered the secret to staying thin. I dont really have breakfast (maybe a nutrigrain bar and a glass of milk or orange juice sometimes) and I dont really snack during the day. I used to have like a bowl of cereal also every night before I'd go to bed. But once I quit doing all the snacking, my pounds started shedding off. Not really quickly, but I lost like 15 pounds in 3 or 4 months. I still chow down on greasy foods during lunch and dinner, but after my experience I think that its just the snacking that got to me. That's just what happened to me, good luck, I know that this is always a stressful subject. Also, Try to just monitor what you are eating, like instead of grabbing an entire bag of chips and just grazing, put the amount you are willing to eat on a plate and eat them. You'll be less likely to overeat that way. Sorry this is so long, but I got one more thing. Now I go to sleep almost every night hungry, but my body has gotten used to it and soon I forget that I am hungry. I think that has something to do with it as well.
