i was just wondering if there's a way to make your screen name a different color instead of blue/red..like i want to make it orange or pink when it IM's people. is that possible? if so can you tell me how you do it?

You can. If you get AIMutation.
I have it, its pretty cool actually, You can change colors of the Buddy names, get skins for your buddy list/IM/Chat windows. and put all your chat windows into tabs. and automatic logs and all these other spiffy things
just go to aimutation.com and you can download it.

i have msn and yahoo and myspace but not AIM so i dont know if it will ork for you but where the A is you click it and you can ghage the phont and colour
