You can do this by using a spiral iron (doesn't matter what size, either way this will work), and once you're done curling your hair -- spray some anti-frizz all of your hair. I recommend John Frieda Frizzease Daily Nourishment Spray. Next, flip your hair upside down, and tossle your curls -- this will make them into waves.

after you shower, spritz your hair with frizzease curl perfector. then (even though it doesn't say to do this on the bottle, it works GREAT) blowdry it. after, curl it or tease it by blowdrying it using a round brush.
frizzease curl perfector lets your natural curls come through, so even if you brush it or something, the curls won't come out. if you have side bangs like me, it looks kinda dumb cause your bangs are going everywhere, so just make a pouf and hold it in place with bobby pins. (or you can keep your bangs separate from everything and after you did the above steps, just blowdry it)

all you do is "scrunch it" which is where you get some gel, and put it in your hand, then you start from the buttom of your hair and scrunge up to your scaulp!
