Last month was the time that i had my first real period. the month before it was just brown. But last month i used a tampon although it was my 1st period. I only left it in for a couple hours. I havnt had my period again. I was suppose to have it about 2 weeks ago. I have this discharge like stuff that reminds me of jello because its all mushy and stuff, but its clear and oderless. Could this be a sign of anything? Why havnt i started and is there something wrong? is it safe to use tampons?

It's completely normal. Since you just got your period, it's gonna be irregular for the first couple of years, so it won't come every month. But when you get older, it'll start regulating itself, so no need to worry. You're normal! And yeah, it's safe. =) But wear the light/medium ones because your period won't be that heavy since you're just getting it. Also, don't wear it for longer than a few hours because you could get TSS. And don't wear it when you're not menstrual because you could get TSS from that too. [ christina's advice column | Ask christina A Question ]
BellaItaliana166 answered Friday March 16 2007, 7:47 pm: Since it is your first period, you could just be irregular. I had a friend who had her first period then stopped for a whole year. Your body is new to this as well so give it some time. Tampons are perfectly safe. There is a disease called TSS [[toxic shock syndrome]] that is very rare but deadly. To prevent this you MUST change the tampon every 4-8 hours. Stay safe! [ BellaItaliana166's advice column | Ask BellaItaliana166 A Question ]

if there was anything wrong because of the tampon, you would have gotten side effects much sooner than a month.
kaylalynn answered Friday March 16 2007, 7:38 pm: if you just got your period last month its 100% normal that it wont come on date. they might come a month after two months your body has to get used to it before it will come along at the same time each month, and yes tampons are very safe unless you leave them in for too long like about 4 hours is too long. if you dont feel comfertable using tampons try pads they work as the same thing =] hope i helped [ kaylalynn's advice column | Ask kaylalynn A Question ]
