I have to give a speech in english class soon... i know what topic i'm doing it on, its just that I get super nervous for public speaking!
and also the guy i have a crush on is in that class and i don't want to look like a loser in front of him.
How do i get rid of this fear?

You don't have to look anyone in the eye, just make it seem like you're looking at people. For example, while you're talking, look at the clock for ten seconds, then look at a poster for another ten, then look at the top of someone's head, etc. As long as you look at random objects, it will take the focus off of the fact that everyone is listening. Plus, remember that you're not the only one in that class that gets nervous. They know how you feel and they're not going to judge you if you slip up a few words. The key is to practice practice practice your speech until it's completely memorized and then you can focus more on staying calm. [ sugarplum07's advice column | Ask sugarplum07 A Question ]
