Dad Watches Porn

Im a 15 year old Male from the UK
I found out my dad watches porn when i was about 12. I found this out because i was just looking through some videos to put on and found a tape with porn on it. The really bad thing is.. my friends were also there :(. 2 of them to be precise. We watched some of it.. to.. you know.. and they asked me. "where the hell did that come from?", i said, "it must be my Dads". The reason i said that was because i had'nt watched porn, my mum doesnt watch porn. So it must have been my Dad. Now at school my 'friends' all pick on me and say my Dad watches porn etc. and it really hurts my feelings because i just wish i could turn back time and have said it was mine or something. My confidence on finding a girlfriend in school has dropped because my 'friends' might tell them my dad watches porn and then they will call me and my Dad a perve. . If i could get some advice on what to do with this, that would be nice.

Tell your friends to grow up. So what if your dad watches porn? That's none of their business. I think it's time for you to get some new friends if they upset you so much. Besides, when you do get a girlfriend, I'm sure you'll want to be with someone that is caring and won't judge you based on what your father does. Everyone acts like watching porn is this big evil thing and it's not. As long as you tell your friends that it's not funny when they say things like that and don't let it bother you, they will stop.

you're still 15 you've got time. fact is every guy watches porn, even if they have a wife or girlfriend we all watch it. and if a guy says he doesn't he's lying. and when a girl asks him to stop, or gives him that whole "am i not good enough" thing the thing behind it all is he's not gonna stop, and it's not that she's not good enough, it's that we like to imagine something else sometimes. whether she's asian, white, hispanic, or black, pregnant, fat, huge boobed, skinny, or whatever the fact is guys like to imagine themselves with someone else even when we're with someone. it's a fact of life, it's part of the whole divide and conquer mindset that men have and have had since the caveman days. we see something we don't have, we want to make it ours. and porn is a perfect outlet to relieve that feeling without cheating. the fact is men look at it, whack off to it, and go back to their lives. and hell women more and more get into it too. it was once something only men looked at and enjoyed but that's changing with time.
and the fact in this case is that your dad is just being what all guys are. it's not bad, it's not wrong, and fuck if your friends give you shit for it who cares man? you'll be looking at it for yourself sooner or later, and they will too, and that's just a fact of life because all dudes whack off. hell your friends might want the tape for themselves it's no biggie. it wont ruin your chances with a girl and quite frankly any girl who gets mad at you for your dad's watching of porn and refuses to have anything to do with you isn't worth the time.

aw hun, they must be really immature. sorry but truth. all adults like to watch porn, its like a thing. ha, my dad watches it, i found it. but yet my friends werent there. but Im not sure how it is in the UK, but i know guys here, in East liverpool, would watch it, and not be grossed out or whatever. they must be immature. its no big deal what so ever.. lol, dont worry about it. and if a girl judges you and your dad because of that then their just gay, ha. but theres nothing to be embrassed about. Most people don't want to believe it, but the simple truth is that the majority of adult males enjoy some form of pornography. Tens of millions of Americans consume porn. That's more people than watch CSI or own an iPod. When you walk down your street every fourth house you pass has someone in it that enjoyed porn in the last month.
Your friends are juvenile assholes who likely consume more porn in a week then your father has in the last five years. They are hypocritical, shit disturbers who would let this rather embarrassing subject drop just as soon as it stops obviously bothering you.
Sure, it’s uncomfortable to know such things about our parents and even worse to have others know but it was three damn years ago! It’s not funny anymore it’s just plain stupid. Tell your friends as much and then drop the subject.
If the girls around you aren’t mature enough to just shrug off pornography as one of those harmless things some people do, they aren’t mature enough to be dating anyone with any seriousness anyways, but you’ll never know anything about their maturity level unless you get over your shyness long enough to speak to them.
Your friends might be behaving like little boys, but you are refusing to rise above it. Confidence is your core problem, not the porn.
Take a deep breath, role your eyes at lame jokes and let this silly incident slide into the past. If anyone brings it up agian, say this "Yeah we found a video in my house years ago. Never knew exactly whoes it was. Wierd eh?"
