Well, I'm a klutz. I whacked myself in the head pretty hard with a piece of exercise equipment. I've got a nice bump and a big bruise on my head now. Nothing a little makeup can't fix.
My problem is, how will I know if I have a concussion or not? I walk into things and fall over for no reason already, and I have almost daily chronic migranes (I've been diagnosed by a doctor AND the balance issues are related to the headaches).
So, how will I (or a doctor, for that matter) know if I've suffered a concussion?
greenlalablue answered Wednesday March 14 2007, 12:27 am: Well here are the symptoms of a concussion:
* Headache
* Nausea and vomiting
* Vacant stare or inattention
* Sensitivity to light or noise
* Delayed response
* Inappropriate emotions (including sadness or depression)
* Difficulty with balance or dizziness
* Fatigue or sluggishness
* Confusion or loss of memory
* Loss of consciousness
Look out for these things, but only the ones that you havn't experianced before.
