Age of Consent
ok, my boyfriend is 21 and i am 16, and i was reading about the age of consent laws in my state and this is what it said...
FLORIDA 18
The age of sexual consent is 16 for adults who are under 24 years of age,
or if the adult that is 24 years of age or older is married to the minor.
does that mean he cant get into trouble if we are dating and/or do anything sexual?

I live in FL and you can't get into trouble for dating him but if you have sex with him, he could get charged for statutory rape, even if you give him consent. I know, it's stupid but it is serious esp. in FL.

I'm 95% sure that means you are allowed to date, but if anything gets sexual it's illegal. He could get charged with rape.
I can't really back it up, since I don't even live in the U.S. let alone Florida.

absolutly he can go to jail. it is statutory rape. so if you are going to do it. but i still wouldnt do it.
