Had a bad relationship want to die

Question Posted Sunday March 11 2007, 8:54 pm

Can I get peoples honest opinions if you kill yourself where and how do you think you will personally end up. When I was 17 I had a 22 year old boyfriend I didn't call him for about 3-4 weeks and the next thing I knew he was gone and practically married my heart can't take it I haven't heard or seen hm face to face in a year. How will I get over this.

I don't mean to be a preacher, and sound like the others but trying to commit suicide, is not a good decision to even think about. Think about your family and your friends, how would they feel, you think it would end all the pain for you if you ended your life, but think about the pain that it would put on your friends and family. I don't know if your Christian or not but God gave you your mother that brought you into this world, your'e a gift to your mother. You need to live your life, I've been through this, I was 15 and he was 19 ,I was young, he didn't call me, he kind of left me. He was gone too and never made contact with me, but I managed to stay busy with school, and get involved with some clubs in school. Stay busy and also ,go to your friends for help that's the first people I would go for help and comfort. They got me throught it and I moved on. KEEP YOUR HEAD UP! xoxo Rosie.

Killing yourself is a very selfish act. Can you imagine the pain and suffering that your family and friends would go through. If this man was practically married after such a short time then he was not the man for you. It has been a year since you saw him and you must have had some fun in that time. It is hard to move on but it is possible. You need to focus on being kind to yourself - for instance treat yourself to a new outfit/hair cut or a night out. Give yourself goals to look forward to - next week go to the cinema with friends. In a month go out for dinner with a family member or treat your Mum to lunch somewhere. Learn a new skill or do something nice for someone else once a week. Life is a precious gift and should not be thrown away lightly. Finally, my honest opinion on killing yourself and where you could end up is this:-

On a very low plain having to work out in future lives why you did what you did. Only when you have sorted that out can you rise to a higher plain and have eternal life in "Heaven" (Or whatever you believe in). Hope this helped.

As the old saying goes, time heals all wounds. Unfortunately for some people (myself included) time is nothing more than an infection that gets worse with age.

Eventually though all things are gotten over. The only real remedy is to try and press on. I don't know what he represented to you but if a relationship like that just falls dead like it did then there is no need to lament over it.

As for killing yourself, don't. You don't accomplish anything by doing so and it's an act of cowardice. The end is the same, you're dead and nothing brings you back. With life you have the chance to change and to get better. Suicide is death, plain and simple.

I feel the need to pray for you. Dunno if that helps you but I hope it does.
