Anddd the person who has gone through every shampoo & conditioner that never works after a short period of time. But I finally found the shampoo & conditioner that does an AMAZING job to damaged hair & KEEPS doing it's job months later. Right now I use Dumb Blonde by BEDHEAD - specifically for blondes with damaged/colored hair. Bedhead is a bit on the expensive side, but worth it considering the size & how well they work. The bottles are huge (25 oz as opposed to the average 8-14oz bottles that are $3-$6+.) So in the end, the price is decent for what you're getting. Each shampoo & conditioner bottle is about $25 if you get it at any salon/store that carries it. If you go to the Toni & Guy salon (Bedhead products are sold by TIGI), they're $32. But right now, they're selling shampoo AND conditioner together for $19.99 TOTAL. So this is the time to go get some if you want to save about $30. I don't think there is any shampoo/conditioner/or product that can make your hair grow faster. But you'll definitely notice a change in how healthy your hair will become after you use that brand. For softer hair, apply SUNSILK Anti-Poof 24/7 Creme ($3.99 or less at any drug store) in your hair after you shower & before blowdrying/styling. :) [ LadyH's advice column | Ask LadyH A Question ]

Look for Anti-Breakage Shampoos and Hot Oil Treatments. Pantene is good.
Mane N Tail makes hair healthier [so it grows faster] because it's packed with so many proteins.
You could always try taking a vitamin. It's called Biotin, it makes hair/skin/nails healthier. I used it for a month and my hair grew a lot. It will speed up hair growth.

I use a combination of Tresemme Anti-Breakage Shampoo, Pantene Smooth and Sleek, and Herbal Essences for Color-Treated Hair. Plus, whatever creamy conditioner I like the smell of better that week. Whatever one you use, leave it in for at least five minutes, otherwise it only works as a detangler.
Before you straighten, protect your hair with SOMETHING. Smoothing Creme, Straghtening Balm, or Serum (or a combo of the three) are all great. Find one that works with your hairtype that's within your budget and you like the smell of. I've tried everything, and nothing works better for me than Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum and Tresemme Heat Protecting Spray. I always finish with a good amount of hairspray, too. That way, the style holds longer and you're not burning your hair more by doing touchups five times a day.
