Is it normal to look at porn alot? Cause I just think it's GROSS. The reason i'm asking this is because like 80 percent of the people's houses I go to (like family friends or family, not really my friends)when I use their computer, and I type in "www" in the search bar, like 20 porn sites pop up. I mean in like the list that drops down when you click that arrow. I'm not snooping, it just happens. Then say i'm going on advicenators.. as soon as i type in "www.a" like 50 more pop up starting with A!! It's really strange to think my adult family that like is married watches porn! My question is, is it not normal for people that age to look at it, or am I just over overreacting?

LadyH answered Sunday March 11 2007, 6:50 pm: Actually, it's very normal for married couples to look at porn. Sometimes things get boring in the bedroom & they may rely on porn to spice things up. Now, it can turn into a problem if one spouse does not agree with porn & the other spouse is looking at it behind their back. Or if there's too much money & time spent looking at it. But you can't really judge from your position since you don't know much about the situation. (Ex: Maybe the computer is shared, maybe there was a computer virus, how often their history is deleted etc.) To answer your question - people of all ages will look at porn. Believe it or not, there are 70 year olds who still look at it. (I saw it last night when my boyfriend & I were renting some.) You're not overreacting, you just didn't know. For some people, porn may be gross, but others..it's educational. The addiction & amount spent looking at it..is another story. [ LadyH's advice column | Ask LadyH A Question ]
