i feel like im getting sick, probably just a cold or something. my throat is sore and my nose is a little runny and thats usually what happens first when i get a cold. its not allergies because i take allergy medicine daily. is there anything i can do to avoid this before it comes full on? or do i have to wait it out?
CourtneyGlynne answered Tuesday March 6 2007, 2:13 pm: What you need is an antioxidant...something that flushes your system out.
The best antioxidant that has so many more advantages is Dark Chocolate Hershey Kisses. Eat 15 of those a day and that's the full amount of antioxidants that you would need in a whole day, rather than drinking eight or nine cups of tea. But, if you like the tea, drink it too :-)
Make sure you get lots of rest, don't exert yourself too often on any one task and keep yourself clean. You should be okay :-)
Hope you feel better and Good luck! [ CourtneyGlynne's advice column | Ask CourtneyGlynne A Question ]

Have tea when you wake up. Have tea with your lunch and dinner. Have tea before you go to bed. Have it whenever possible!
I swear that it will stop whatever illness you're getting in its tracks.
Try Lipton green tea. Make sure it's nice and warm (so it can soothe your throat), but don't ruin it's effects by adding a bunch of sugar. If you want it to be sweeter, add a teaspoon of honey and nothing more. [ sugarplum07's advice column | Ask sugarplum07 A Question ]

Gargle with warm salt water as much as possible. (gross, but it works)
Blow your nose a lot, and if you cough up any phlegm, spit it out. It gets the sickness out.
Get some zicam swabs and use those. They are medicated and you swab your nose with them. They work really really well.
Wash your hands a lot.
Get 8 hours MINIMUM of sleep a night. If you can get more, do so.
This is what my grandma always has me do, and she's a nurse. So if you do these things, you will either avoid it, or your symptoms will be a lot less and shorter. Good luck. [ Shortcake22's advice column | Ask Shortcake22 A Question ]
