I space out.

Question Posted Sunday February 25 2007, 3:13 pm

At times it seems like I space out and I'm not all there. I've been doing that for it seems like ever since high school started. I'm 16 and in the 10th grade. Going to high school was hard for me because I had to leave my best friends. They were the only that ever made happy until now...now I have a boyfriend that makes me extremely happy but I worry that something will happen like he'll break up with me for some stupid reason every once in a while. Uh...I also seem to forget things easily. Like how to play black jack...to me thats one of the easiest games to remember how to play. But I seemed to have forgot. I remembered maybe 5 minutes after I was asked how to play. I really don't know but the spacing out all the time and knowing I'm not all there when I do that is so wierd to me. Sometimes I have make sure to make an effort to be all there. I don't notice much around me. It's just the big things. Nothing little. My mom notices every little thing. I wonder why I don't.

You might possibly have ADD or ADHD. My sister has ADHD, and she's sort of like that. I would tell your doctor at your next appointment and see if maybe that's what it is.

This all sounds stress related to me. alot of people deal with stress diffrently, and the way your body may be dealing with it, is a shorter attention span. Try to relax, get more sleep. take time for yourslef to watch a movie or take a bath. anything you can do to relive stress will def. make it better. i'm sure you'll get your moms observation skills as soon as you are stress free. As for you and your bf, worrying could also be stress related, but if you really want to do something about it then as him, amke sure hes still into you, he'll reassure you that everythings fine. i hope i helped!
