Hey. Contacts are a big step but I know tons of people with them. A good way to decide if you are ready for contacts is this. Are you a neat person? If you tend to keep things neat and tidy then contacts would be ok to get because they require a lot of care and they need to be extremely clean to avoid eye infections. If you are on the messy side it may not be such a good idea to get contacts. I think the best way for you to know for sure is to get the contacts and try them out but also get your glasses fixed. This way if you don't like the contacts you still have your glasses or if you like the contacts but want you glasses for night time or reading you still have them. Walmart does have contacts although my mom goes there and they tend to be on the more expensive side. Go online or look in the yellow pages and compare prices. Also maybe go to an eye doctor so they can test your eyes and guide you through this process. Good luck! ♥ fabulous

of course go to walmart! CONTACTS are great you will love them. So much better than galssess, that are always in your way. when you try to rub your eye there they are. when you are watching tv are reading a book you have to situwate your glasses to stay comfortable. If they get drity then you need to clean them. Contacts still can get dirty and the only bad thing about them that you need to wash your hands everytime you are about to take them out and in and if you dont feel like putting them in trust me its no big deal its a 3 second thing to do in the morining and nite. The first time they will take a while to get used to but you will and loosing them is another thing i have had contacts for 4 years so i started using them when i was 10 and i have only lost 1 its ture if your careful they stay along time. and doctors may say to get new ones every 6 months or weeks i for got but really you dont have to if they are still good. Oh and contacts can still bother your eyes but if they are just take them out there mite be fuzz in it or hair or its just not in the rite way or you just need to clean them. I got mine for $100 its not that expensive but really the saloution to put them in is what you really need to concentrate on i would say you should ask your doctor whats best to buy!

i have contacts. i have had them since i was nine. so basically theyre extremely simple to put in
PROS:
1. they dont fall of when you jump
2. you cant see them, so everyone can see your eyes
3. theyre easier to carry around
4. you can win more stareing contests
5. they come in colors if you want colored ones

CONS:
1. if they break, like in school or somthing, then you cant see through one eye until you get home to put another one in
2. you cant swim with your eyes opened unless your wearing goggles
3. there is a slight risk of getting infection if you forget to take them out
4. you need to take the responsibility to rinse them out every night

i havent found any of this a problem though! good luck if you need anythin lemme know!
xo

all i have to say . . .
is
save up money because contacts are still pricey
and dont settle for cheap ones bescause you could get infections easier that way
and
try to fix your gllasses
but tell your mom because its dangerous also .
your eyes will get used to no glasses
so yeahh
hope i helped

Even if you get contacts, you should still have a pair of backup glasses.

Pros:
Easier
More attractive
Cheaper short-term
Can get colored ones

Cons:
Bad if you don't like touching your eye
Not good for messy people- risk of infection
Also not good for forgetful people

You have to get a seperate contact lense exam before you get them, though.
