PLEASE READ. okay i need advice- ovousily or i wouldn't be on here. ha. okay well im really shy and thats a problem because i dont have as many friends. i have like what 3? ha. i know right. i have friends from other towns but that doesnt really count because i want friends from MY own town- friends that like i hang out with outside of school too. i pretty much want to be popular. i know i could be and i have it in my like personality wise and im not ugly but like..im just so shy its crazy. also, this is the part that i hate so much. people think im a lezbain. like popular, average, or what ever. and the thing is IM NOT. and like i dont know how to prove that im not a lezbo because like im not ganna be a slut or anything. so yeah today in gym like my friend hes like JESSICA IS PALEEEE *clap clap clap clap clap* and this popular kid whos an extreme jerk is like JESSICA LIKES GIRLS *clap clap clap clap clap* . hes gay if anything. ha. yeah but really.
a) like how do i become popular and fast? && like over come my shyness? like please help. really. i mean i know i could be popular and stuff but ARGH PLEASE. like in other towns im popular because i dont care what they think and its harded to like actually do this then just say it. please!
b)please please please any advice on getting them not to call me a lez. really PLEASE. this is just the gayesttt thing ever. i think once i become popular then people will stop calling me a lez.

Okay, well on the popularity thing...what I realized is not to try so hard and be yourself. I was trying so hard to be popular my 9th and 10th grade year, but when it came to this year, I just didn't care too much of what others thought and I didn't try as hard, and I was 100 percent myself..and like a month went by and I had friends all over. So rule one..be yourself.
On the lesbian thing... I want to say blow it off, but I can imagine how that's hurting your self-esteem. But the bestthing is to not worry about it because the more you worry about it and deny it, it's going to get worse and eveyone is going to be on your case. Guys are totally stupid and oblivious. Seriously, try not to worry about it and I prmoise you that it will blow over. And if it doesn't...seriously..you won't see half these kids after you graduate..and whoever said that high school is the best years of your life...it's a lie..it all full of drama and trauma.
Just be yourself and not care about what others have to say.

Being popular isn't everything, and neither is having friends. But having friends is an important part of being a teen. If you say you have the personality, then show people you do. I know you're shy, but just be yourself & don't hide who you really are. Be funny, laugh, hang out with the guys, say hi to everyone. You only get popular by being nice; because NO ONE likes a snob.
If this kid keeps saying that you're gay, kick him in the balls, seriously. He's a jerk & he doesn't know what he's talking about. But, if you get worked up over it, or just don't say anything at all, he's gonna know he got to you, or he's gonna think you're scared of him to say anything. Just kick him in the balls, and leave it at all.
