Okay, I applied to work at this camp called Camp Wonderland, and it's a place where children and adults who have mental and physical disabilities. If I get hired, I need to find a way to raise money for the five hour drive to get there and back twice. For my car, a full tank of gas is 35 bucks. (145 dollars) And there is a week where we'll have to pay 150 dollars to be able to go out of state. So somehow I need to raise about 300 dollars. What businesses would be good to ask for money? What fundraisers will be good to raise money? If I get this job, I will need the money by May 10th.
Be sure to advertise your fundraiser with fliers and such, whatever you choose to do. Say what your fundraiser is, when it is, and why you are doing it, so that people know what's going on. [ Brandi_S's advice column | Ask Brandi_S A Question ]
parksoccer10 answered Tuesday February 20 2007, 5:22 pm: My class (sophmore) is really good at fundraisers and we made a lot of money selling chocolate bars during school. I think we made over a thousand dollars. This however is not allowed anymore because of the strict eating habits of the school but that's beside the point. Car washes I've found have also helped raise a lot of money for me (you should wait for the weather to warm up first). We have also sold t-shirts that we made for the specific cause (like saving a pet donkey in the town). Just some ideas that could help you. I don't know of any organizations that would give money... sorry. [ parksoccer10's advice column | Ask parksoccer10 A Question ]
