you can look up on the computer in your local districtand look for baby sitting classes. and after you have found it you can talk to your parents to see if you can start to go and then spread the word to you local friends and family to start babysitting for them.

First you should take a babysitting course so you are certified. After that I would try talking to neighbors, teachers, relatives, and even friends with little siblings. Another thing that is often done is put a flier up in your local grocery store with your name, age & phone number. Including that you've taken a babysitting course might help impress people. My last suggestion is you could print an add in the newspaper so everyone in town can see. Hope I've helped!

i would suggest taking a babysitting course to learn CPR and babysitting techniques about many different topics including what to do in an emergency and such if you haven't already. usually a nearby red cross or your local hospital advertises them.
the next step would probably be to put an ad in the newspaper saying that you are available to babysit, how much you charge, up to how many kids you can handle, and what ages of kids you will babysit for.
parents feel more at ease if they know you are certified, so the babysitting class is a good way to possibly get more business.
tell your parents if they both work in an office in town to tell their friends that you might be able to babysit a night that they need you if you aren't already doing something. if you do a good jobwith them, they might recommend you to their friends.
haha sorry i wrote so much, but i hope i helped!

Hey. You can start by putting up/giving out flyers to people in your neighborhood or people you know. Also, you want to take classes either at your library or the YMCA or something like that, teaching you CPR and stuff like that.
Hope I helped ♥Kathleen.

when i started babysitting i just had my mom talk to some of her friends that have little kids or people in the neighborhood and told them i was looking for babysitting jobs. also a lot of times you can talk to people you might know at church if you go to church because you people are very welcoming of babysitting offers especially when they have really little kids

I know one person in my neighborhood sent out flyers in the mail advertising herself to be a babysitter... now I don't know how successful she was because lets just say we aren't the best of friends. The way that I got started was that I told my mom I wanted to and she talked to some of her friends from the neighborhood telling them that if they needed someone they could call me. Basically that's how I started and soon people I didn't know called me looking for a sitter because I was "recommened" by the first family I babysat. Don't be discouraged if they don't call you to babysit again, believe me sometimes its not the end of the world ;). I have had three families I babysat almost every other weekend for and then they suddenly stopped calling. Wow I'm off topic sorry. So yea just have your mom "suggest" it to friends of hers that may have younger kids.
