runawayxlove answered Tuesday February 20 2007, 1:08 pm: hey, well i find that pantene gel and mouse are as hard/sticking as other products. also use a diffuser when you scrunch your hair. the heat of it prevents the products hardening. some people are unclear of what a diffuser is, so ill show you just incase.

If you have naturally wavy hair, let it dry naturally.
You could also try scrunching your hair while its wet, with no product, and then use hairsprau to hold it there WHEN IT'S DRY. If you put on the hairspray when your hair is wet, you might get crunchy. [ ad0rkable's advice column | Ask ad0rkable A Question ]
