Well street smarts is like being aware of you're surroundings. People who live on the streets tend to be a little more street smart than others because they hav to be aware of their surroundings more even when they sleep. However it is necessary even if u don't live on the street because people can screw you left and right pardon my language. But I know it, however it is something you are either born with or a skill you aquire. Unfotunatley tou cannot teach yourself to be street smart. Its just a matter of being aware of you're surroundings and learning how to defend yourself and the right way to do it too. Is when you know the enviroment around you so well you no how to survive without getting in trouble/killed. You arent naive if ur street smart. You cant really be street smart in the suburbs, being street smart is usually for the ghetto

It is. Street smart is having common sense and being able to sense whether someone is being honest or if someone's a good person. Basically, someone with good instincts.
