Well, I'm sort of like you, I have mild acne that is VERY stubborn, and I've tried everything. Awhile ago, I read in my TeenVogue magazine an easy, stress-free technique that has been working very well for me:

First, you use an acne scrub (preferably organic) in the morning. I use a product called Acnexus, and it has been working pretty well.

Second, also in the morning, you should use a salicylic acid solution. I use Clean & Clear Advantage for this.

Then, third, before bed, use a benzoyl-peroxide treatment. I use Clean & Clear Continuous Control.

And lastly, the same acne scrub.

Hope that helped!

BTW, pink eyeshadow and black eyeliner would look really nice, and so would light blue eyeshadow with the eyeliner!

Hi,

You will not need a dermatologist just to get a prescription for acne medication. Your regular doctor can look at your acne and either provide a sample tube of medication or a prescription for some.

He/she would always be the one to have to refer you to a specialist as you cannot get that kind of appointment on your own. I would call your doctor's office and explain to the receptionist exactly why you are coming in and set an appointment.

The reason the over the counter remedies you can buy are not working for you is because they contain no medication at all as an active ingrediant. It's the medication that eats away at the pimples and prevents them from spreading or even forming.

The only other things I can recommend is washing your face twice a day with soap and water as you have been and to also keep your hair which contains oils that can cause zits away from your face.

Bottom lne: In order to be rid of the acne for good you need something a lot stronger that can eat away at the pimples and prevent them from forming. You can only get that in a prescription cream that will burn the acne right off in about a week.

Well all I can say is to wash your face, twice a day. And also a little home redemy I've found that works most of the time is to put a dab of toothpaste on the acne bumps that are coming up or that are already there. Put it on right before you go to bed, wash it off in the morning. Works pretty well.
If that doesn't work for you then you should try taking a Q-Tip and dipping it in Hydrogen Poroxide then rubbing it on the acne bumps. Do that after you wash your face. It should help.
Also, make-up in general, any kind, is fine for your skin. But try to get foundation that says OIL FREE!! That's the best for your pores and skin.
Just a tip, blue eyeshadow will make your brown eyes pop and instead of looking at your breakouts people will notice your eyes. Also, instead of black eyeliner all the time, mix it up, thy a little brown eyeliner, especially if you are going to wear pink eyeshadow, those two mix really well!!
Good luck, hope this helped.

-Katie
