i have 2 northfaces and there amazing.
ebay is great for getting cheap anything.
my mom also got a jacket that looks exactly like a northface at marshalls for like $15.oo. because she wasnt sure if she wanted a northface. the brand is "snowzu"

I got a fleece jacket at American eagle.. they have them now for $29.99 i believe
Also try landsend.com online they have the fleece more expensive but if you check out any of their lands end shops in sears that they list online they are dramatically lower in price (trust me i work there)
